Ditch Life Magazine

As the year winds down, we find ourselves looking back at what’s changed, what’s stayed, and what still lingers.

For our second issue, we’re looking for work that captures the pull of nostalgia— the ache, the warmth, the distance.

What moments do you return to? What refuses to fade?

As always, we’re accepting fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. In this issue, we’re changing things up a bit: all selected writers will have the opportunity to choose photos that align with the nostalgia captured in their writing. These photos will accompany each piece and make a scrapbook of sorts.

Can I submit my work?

Submissions are currently OPEN for our second issue and will close on January 1st, 2026.

What should my submission look like?

Poets may submit up to 3 poems in a single submission.

Submissions of fiction and nonfiction can be up to 2,500 words in length.

Please submit your work in 12pt. font in a Word Document or PDF.

All submissions should be emailed to: editor@ditchlifepublishing.com

Additional Info

While we cannot offer payment just yet (we’re still a bit too new), we believe that all of our writers deserve to be compensated and hope to do so with future issues of our magazine! For now, all writers will receive 1 free copy of the literary magazine. :)
